Future Shock was written by the futurist, Alvin Toffler, in 1970. This book set me on a career path for the next 40 years. The ideas put forth in the book were way ahead of their time. Mr. Toffler and his wife wrote many books over the next 36 years. Learning for Tomorrow (1974), The Third Wave (1980), Powershift: Knowledge, Wealth, and Violence at the Edge of the 21st Century (1990), and Revolutionary Wealth (2006)  were four others from their collection of writings that provided me insight and direction.

Education has been my passion for the past 40 years. It was a pleasure working with students, families, and staff from public, independent, and international schools. Headmaster, Assistant Superintendent, and Career and College Counselor were some of the positions held during the 25 years I directed school programs around the world. Students attended universities in North America, South America, Europe, and the Middle East.

Grandkids are the future of America! Your grandchildren may go on to college, pick up a trade or need help starting their own businesses as entrepreneurs…perhaps even build an international business. What knowledge and technical skills will give your grandkids an advantage?

This blog will share information (American Resources) that will give America’s grandparents and their families the tools to make decisions for the 21st Century. Vision of a futurist is needed…we will look to many resources to find the answers.

Enjoy the journey,

Bob Nicholson
